Setting Up the Setfile in MT5
Download and Install the Bot by clicking the button above
Place the .ex5 file in the MQL5/Experts directory of your MT5 installation.
Load the Bot on a Chart
Open the chart for your chosen trading pair (e.g., EUR/USD).
Attach the bot to the chart by navigating to Navigator > Expert Advisors, right-clicking on the bot, and selecting "Attach to Chart."
Configure the Settings
When the bot is attached, a settings window will appear. Manually input the above parameters or load a pre-saved .set file with these settings.
Save the Setfile
After inputting the settings, save the configuration by clicking on the "Inputs" tab, selecting "Save," and giving the file a name (e.g., Precision_Scalper_Optimal.set).
Enable Automated Trading
Ensure that the AutoTrading button on the MT5 toolbar is enabled (green).
Backtesting and Optimization
Backtest the Bot
Use the MT5 Strategy Tester (View > Strategy Tester) to run backtests on historical data. Select the Precision Scalper bot, the desired pair, and timeframe (e.g., M1).
Adjust the "Inputs" as needed and start the backtest.
Optimize the Settings
Use the optimization feature in the Strategy Tester to find the best parameters. This involves running multiple backtests with different combinations of settings to identify the most profitable configuration.
Monitor Real-Time Performance
After optimizing, deploy the bot in a live or demo account and monitor its performance. Make adjustments as needed based on market conditions and trading results.
